Why use a human to write or edit your documentation and content?

There isn't one definitive answer and some of the justifications are complex but I'll give you a rock solid, concise bullet point explainer, leaving you in no doubt that a human touch is a necessity not a hinderance to your business.

1. Accountability - Yes, AI can likely write good copy, an excellent blog post and give you a good translation into a different language. But it won't answer your calls if the words generated plagiarise or libel someone. The owners of the algorithm won't be held accountable if their product results in lower sales or standards in your business or across entire sectors. When you have direct contact with the person overseeing the writing and editing of your material you can be sure somebody, somewhere will answer your calls when something goes wrong, because you can guarantee something will go wrong at some point.

2. Accuracy - Yes, humans make mistakes, but with multiple checks these can be easily rectified. Trying to find a hallucination in AI generated texts if you what you expect to write is true can be extremely difficult. Precise terminology is also a problem AI can't overcome easily, an industry expert with lots of experience will know exactly how to get complex processes into words that are easy to understand. This is even more profound in translation, only a native speaker can properly convey your ideas into the language of your target audience.
